So..I will be going to school for web design in February. It's a fast track certification program until the first week of May. The program plan is as follows; HTML I, Website Development (Introduction): Photoshop I for Web: WordPress I: and Photoshop II for Web. That's it..I understand that HTML 5 will be the standard use for most web designers from but I'm just trying to make sure that this certification program will be worth it in the long run. I don't plan on going to school for a degree. I either planned on being self taught or picking up a certification for extra credentials on my behalf. Web designers will need to have knowledge in CSS (CSS3 I guess), XML and other things that won't be covered in the short certification program. What would be the best way to enter the web design/developer field without attaining a degree? Are there any web designers out there that could give me some insight on which path would be more beneficial to my situation? Or would going through the certification program be a better foot in the door for me? Thanks!
