Latest ASUS G73 Disassembly in HD - G73JH G73JW G73SW Teardown - Upgrade - Laptop Overheating Fix

This is a complete teardown, disassembly/reassembly video of my G73JH-BST7. I clean out the ventilation system, remove the old thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, and install new Arctic Silver 5.

This video is helpful for those who need to do any sort of work on the inside of the ASUS G73 Series.

Thank you so much. I cleaned my cooling fans and the laptop is working excellent. Now I need to buy a new keyboard panel cause some keys are never working.

The heat sink vents clog with dust VERY easily in this laptop – it begins to overheat in no time. My solution is to blow compressed air into the air vents at the rear once every three months – you will see a small cloud of dust emerge each time you do this πŸ™‚ I've been doing this for five years now and it still runs cool and as quiet as a mouse.

Thank You for the video. A friend of mines 6 year old Asus was shutting down due to thermals. This was the most pain in the butt laptop Ive ever taken apart just in able to clean out the plugged fans and repaste the rock hard thermal compound with some fresh Artic Silver.

This is a must fix for this older laptop. Adding new thermal to everything the fans barely ever go on full blast now even through gaming. Thanks for the video showing me how to take this thing apart!

Thanks for the video! It's very helpful. But after I finished and turned it on, it says "Recovery. PC needs to be repaired. Boot Confirmation Data file is missing some required info". Maybe I put a HD into the wrong slot, I got only one HD. Which slot is correct? I've put it into the right one, you have a Samsung HD right there.

Went through this yesterday. It really helped, thanks! Did some of your keys stop working afterward?

Thank you so much. My G73Jw reborn, the fan was screaming already a while ago. Today with your help I could clean the fan and is absolutely silent. Alone I had given up on myself clear, because the five connections on the motherboard, keyboard and also cover, are very difficult parts for those who do not know much. Thank you.
